Hiking Tours
Full and Half Day Experiences will lead you along the Labrador Pioneer Footpath, walked for two centuries by local Labrador people. Walk along the barren, glacier carved landscape that is unique to the Labrador Straits. Find yourself at the base of a 100' waterfall, near the remains of an early 20th Century sealing factory, and find evidence of ships that didn't survive the sometimes rough seas and hidden shoals. All the way, you will learn about the history of the resilient, fearless settlers who braved life on the Labrador to make a home.

Boil-Up in Forteau

3-4 Hours

A great way to start your day with a coastal walk with a local guide visiting Overfalls Brook, keeping your eyes peeled for whales, porpoises and icebergs. Rest for a bit to enjoy a traditional cup of tea with toast and local preserves on an open fire.

Hike the Pioneer Footpath

4-6 Hours

Hike from L'Anse au Clair to Forteau with a local guide, taking in the coastal scenery and fresh air. Enjoy the experiences of our Boil-Up Tour with a more challenging hike and additional points of interest. A hardy lunch of fish and bread will be prepared on an open fire.
